Taupo
Well about six hours later we got there! Had a little look around then went for a swim in Lake Taupo, which I found out was about the same size as Singapore! Crazy.
We went down to the bay, near the town centre, and jumped in the lake, it was delightful! It was so nice, and the best thing about it? Well it didn’t taste of sea water, it was luscious fresh water, I was out there until 7.30pm jumping and diving off the rafts. Then we met a nice German couple, who told us about Reids Farm campsite by the river, and guess what? It was Free!
