Cape Reinga

Amazing!!! Yes we are here! The most northern point of New Zealand.
Where the sun always shines and the rain never comes.
We went to Tapotupotu campsite, the northern most campsite and it’s on Tapotupotu Bay! It was still early evening so we had plenty of time to have a look around and find a place for our camp fire. Mikko went for an evening surf and then we celebrated being at the northest point with some Gin and lime. We then collected some wood, and headed to a quiet spot by river to make our fire before dark. We even took the computer so we had music to listen to. We then began to cook some veg, potatoes and salmon on the fire. We timed it just right as the tide was coming in. It came in so fast we quickly took our food before it was washed away! We topped it off with a beautiful cheese sauce, mwah!! We spent two nights at the camp, the weather was beautiful throughout, not a cloud in the sky, and the costal walks were breath taking. We met some really nice people too!
Next day we spent the whole time on the beach! Not one cloud appeared, there was even a small pool of water which got deeper depending on the tide, warm water and beautifully clear, we even burried each other in the sand!
