Doubtless Bay

Doubtless Bay

Oh what a lovely hot summers day again. Today we drove from KeriKeri on the Highway 10 through Waipapa, Kaeo and around the beautiful harbour in Waitaruke. Then shortly after we drove by Coopers Beach the road literally drives on the side of the beach it’s such a perfect drive. A little birdy told us that doubtless bay is one of the most beaufiful parts of New Zeland so we took a detour towards Tokerau Beach which has stunning views. We followed the road until we got to Maitai Bay, which had a small camp to the left. It’s the most beaufiful beach in New Zealand. It’s a small secluded bay which has calm blue waters and perfect white sand. It was the sort of beach you see on photos and cant quite believe. It was stunning. We spent the afternoon swimming and playing around in the sea whilst soaking up the sun. For a while id just float in the water and close my eyes as it was so relaxing. It reminded me of lying on my lilo during family holidays abroad, almost falling asleep and drifting out to sea! We then took a stange cold shower which sprayed water pretty much horizontally on to a fence, a girl next to me climbed on it to have a wash, whilst I used the technique of jumping. It was fine for Mikko as he was so tall haha, good fun! We then went to see the Silica Sands not far from Rangiputa, as it has the softest sand. Oh and it did, it’s like powder and so so so soft it’s crazy. The only bad thing was the long gravel road which our low profile types do not like.
